Glossary: Image Format and Aspect Ratio

Your Image Material
Depending on the camera used, your images will have a specific image format or aspect ratio. A typical digital compact camera or even a smartphone generally produces images in a 4:3 format. In contrast, a digital SLR camera (DSLR) usually captures images in a 3:2 format.
The aspect ratio is usually expressed in the form x:y, with the width mentioned first.
Overview of Our Product Formats
When you create a mosaic image, a city map, or a photo collage with us, you can have it printed in various sizes and different formats. You can find a complete overview of all our products here in direct comparison. Of course, the available sizes and formats also depend on the respective print product. Compare individual print products like posters, canvas, frames, acrylic, or dibond here.
Even if we generally list the size specifications in portrait format in our shop and mention the smaller side first, we ensure that your landscape images are produced correctly. This happens automatically. Each image can be printed in both portrait and landscape formats, according to your preferences.
Here you will find an overview of all our print sizes, divided into different aspect ratios.
